There may be a slight degradation, but I do not notice it. And, if there is I would guess it to be because the topping or casing has been absorbed by the tobacco more thoroughly. I have many blends cellared and none have disappointed me so far. But having said that, I am probably done with "gross" cellaring of blends as I can never smoke what I have. I do however continue to buy various blends to try in maybe 3 to 4 ounce quantities which go into smaller mason jars which are readily available. My cellared large jars, are, imagine this, in my cellar.
