I'm not sure where you are in your pipe hobby journey, but next time you are near St. Charles, stop by John Dengler Tobacconist = 700 S. Main St., in Old St. Charles. He has a quaint little B&M there and is very knowledgeable. Also, there is a St. Louis Pipe Club. I have met a few of the guys at the annual St. Louis pipe show held every February. You can receive loads of hands-on learning from them. Because their meeting location is quite a distance from Granite City, I have never made their meetings, but you might want to check them out as well. Hope this helps...

Re: Has Anyone Created Their Own Pipe
@Charles The only problem I see with that pipe, besides mobility, is that you tend to limit yourself to BULK BLENDS... :) (View Post) -
Re: What is it and how do I clean it?
To sting, or not to sting... That is the question... :) (View Post) -
Re: Dogs of the pipe world
@Woodsman The one in the red sweater looks as if it's had way too much coffee! The one in the white sweater looks mellow and relaxed (must have drank the de-caffeinated blend)... :) (View Post) -
Re: Pipes
@Woodsman As long as someone else is buying... I'm in... I'm sure the same applies to you, so freebies don't count against you... (View Post) -
Re: Smokingpipes
@motie2 That's right. You should never end a sentence with a preposition, no matter what the subject is your talking on... :) (View Post)
