  Have you tried the Eriksen  #6…if it is an Eriksen. Yours has a way nicer grain than the one I have, it looks slightly taller too.

  No, never tried that pipe. I do have a source that has told me that he thought it conveyed a "plastic" taste to the smoke.
  But personally, I have no clue...

  I have only smoked mine a couple of times, with the “stones” in the base like it was designed.  Maybe without “stones” it overheats the base.  Obviously, I don’t know wether or not they were used by your source.  I did not notice any plastic taste myself.

  The stones are in the base. I know this because they flew half way across the room when I removed the bowl for cleaning...🙄

  Funny, when a I pulled mine down to look at it, I “unscrewed” the bowl (it is actually just an O-Ring friction fit)….the stones flew out all over the couch😂

  I will have a small KA9FFJ sign on my table to help ID me.

  Lane tobacco has not contacted Harry for the St. Louis Pipe show.
   I'm not sure but I think Leonard is out of it now. Stokkebye is now in charge I believe. I need to get a hold of Stokkebye if it all possible, but I don't know how. 
  I can't even remember what he goes by here on TPL...
  Anyone out here able to give me any info on him or how to contact him?
  My next move is to go to the Lane website and go from there...

  I left a message for him here. Also left a message through the Scandinavian Group "contact us" on their website.
  If they do not attend, it will be the first time since I have been going, which has been MANY years.

  By the way, just a reminder: The show offers a pre-setup on Friday afternoon/evening,  but I will wait for the general setup early Saturday morning.
  It's about a 30-35 minute drive from my house, and I don't want to make 4 trips. So I will see you all on Saturday...

  Loved seeing @mapletop at the show. Took time for a quick pic and we exchanged some pipe tobaccos.

  Good crowds, great company and interesting people. Naturally Missouri Meerschaum was there and I always try to get a pipe from them while at the show.
