Definitely Velvet. It took a few bowls to get the hang of it, but after making friends with it so to speak I'm quite taken with it. I didn't quite like SWR, and Granger is on my list to try.

Would Lane BCA, qualify? Still confused about cavendish and tobacco types.

@danielVSan9592, no, BCA would not qualify. Cavendish is a method of processing tobacco, not a type of tobacco.

You are very welcome, @mhajec. There's a lot to learn in this hobby/pastime. The whole "Tobacco University" thing is worth your while. I tried to start a discussion on Categories using that,but it never got off the ground.

I give up... I know my next tobacco order... Prince Albert, Carter Hall, and Lane Read Rubbed. Those keep popping up but I've never tried them.

L. J. Peretti blend 333, Wessex burley slice, C&D big and burley, Edgeworth flake, most of the OTC blends (Granger, H&H, PA, etc) five brothers, and most of the D&R blends.

@drac2485 - That's three classics right there. I prefer PA to CH, but LRR towers over them,IMO. I can see why it was so popular in the old days.

I was recently reminded of a great one that I have recently discovered and have enjoyed, and that's Solani 656 Aged Burley Flake. Very nice stuff indeed.

Of that list, I really like JKP but opened an original release that was rolling around from bulging tin and something was off. No mold but odd tin smell. It also was a bit spongy unlike fresh. So I will put in mylar to revisit in a few years. I have an 8oz tin of MacBaren London Blend Burley from early 70s. Pretty dry but it is like smoking almonds. Of course the all time favorite burley blend is Dix!

Redundancy ahead... But...

Prince Albert is my daily go to about 90% of the time. Also in the mix is Carter Hall and McBarron's Golden Extra. It's nothing fancy but a good taste that I just seem to like.
