Today, I forgot to check my pockets after an enjoyable smoke break.

Good news! The zippo still has sparks, but I have to let the cotton dry out.

Bad news! My wife insists that I rewash that load of laundry.

I've done the same thing once or twice... But you're right @Danfriedman you can't kill one. I carry one on duty for that very reason.

The Z-Plus inserts are great. I bought a single torch several years ago, it still works like a champ. I have had several Colibri lighters...several.....because they suck, and it takes me awhile to learn from my mistakes. I recently purchased the new dual torch and pipe lighter Z-Plus inserts, they also work perfectly.

I use the Z-plus, the fuel lasts two to three days, but they get tough to light in about 6 months overall not bad for less than $15. This is my new favorite:

The lighter I reach for when I am smoking my pipes is this one. It has fairly long tools and they protrude straight down. The tamper will reach the bottom and fit into most of my pipes. I have some really, really, deep pipes that the bottom of the lighter will bash before bottoming out the tamper. The tamper is 2 3/8” long. Honest👍🏻🙂

@motie2 Well I guess that is a mater of perspective, many pipe lighter are north of $100, so the Prometheus Sherlock II pipe lighter is roughly $58.00.

They are well made and aesthetically pleasing. That said It is not my every day use while I'm working lighter that has most of the paint worn off or mirror finish reduced to a very dull sheen.

But I do enjoy using it because its well designed and its operation is soooo smooth, the fit and finnish are outstanding.

I simply love my zippo. The following was once said by Jay Leno concerning automobiles but I think it fits just as well. The last of old technology is far superior than first of new technology!!
