I haven't been on in quite a while and I can't remember when my last bowl was smoked... But there is a good reason why! I would like you all to meet my daughter Addilyn Rose! She's my whole world!

Tips from someone who's been there and done that.
1. Don't smoke around the baby. (If you're outside make sure you side downwind and about 10 feet away.)
2. For the first year, wash your hands, face and beard before holding the baby. Also, change your shirt. I don't personally believe in the dangers of second hand smoke but then again, don't risk it in the first 12 months.
3. Before you decide to "get away" and go sit outside and have a pipe, think about your wife and whether she has had some time to herself. Telling her to take a little time to herself before you do will go a long way to make life stress free.

@PappyJoe thanks for the tips. Those are the reasons I haven't had a bowl thus far. Taking care of the two of them takes all my time. But the in laws are coming over tonight and while they have her I may sneak away for a small bowl... Thinking some Bourbon Barrel aged Plum Pudding may be in order!

PappyJoe has real good advise. Let me add something else. Ask your wife, "I would really enjoy smoking a pipe in the next day or two. When would be the most convenient time for me to do this?"
As I said before, you and your wife are BLESSED beyond belief. Childbirth and the honor and responsibility of raising children is truly a miracle from God.
