102 today in Carefree, AZ. Dry as a bone, with our characteristic ample beautiful sunshine!
My pipe smoking has waned here as summer temps take hold in the desert southwest. First of all, smoking outside is comfortable only after maybe 10 pm, and by that time I'm asleep on the couch. LOL.
So last night I had a bowl of Sillem's London inside, and it was a pleasure! Today I spent some time out in the heat, and now I'm tired....and I'm just not feelin' the pipe. Probably won't smoke tonight....

I'm with ya. When it get too hot here in NC I have no desire. But evenings can be great after the sun goes down.

I was the same way when I lived in Vegas. Nice thing about pipe smoking, unlike cigarettes, we can just "not feel like it" and not go crazy. I always tell people it's like wanting a really nice steak. Glad to have it. Crave it a bit when you can't. But, can do without for awhile if need be.

It got to 100 (again) here in Kansas. After 4 days of nursing a cold, I finally had a small bowl of Sasieni on the back porch after the sun set. @Bentbrier hit the nail on the head. While I missed my pipe smoking routine, I certainly wasn't having withdrawals.

94 here in western Missouri, with high humidity. Wife can't take smoke, so vaping. I am a Nicotine addict, so the vape. I used Copenhagen for years, but trying to quit. They say that it is as additive as heroin and I tend to agree.

Once it reaches a certain temperature here in Illinois, I'll stay indoors and work on something else. While I love my pipes, I'm not addicted to them, so I'll wait until it's not as stuffy in the garage. Though, if I did go out, at least my laptop would turn on, unlike when it's 10 degrees outside.

It cooled down some to a beautiful evening last night so I had a bowl while reading on my porch. Was awesome especially since I didn't think it was going to happen.

Well we've hit the season here on the GA coast where I hate doing just about anything outside and I am most definitely an outside fellow. The heat, humidity, and the bugs make it a forced march. The plus-side is that there's no better way to hone your archery skills before the season than holding your bow at full draw with the knowledge that a yellow fly is on your forehead and could bite before you turn the arrow loose.

So I'll smoke outside if I'm outside, but otherwise if it's smoking I want and don't have another excuse to be sweating and swatting, the pipe stays indoors with me. Fortunately, the Aromatrix has no problem with the smoke that prevents me from doing so.

@ghostsofpompeii that’s just outside temp. I live in a house with no central air which means it’s about 5-10 degrees hotter. Autumn needs to haul butt. Lol.

@ocpunk714 Sheesh, I couldn't survive that. I'm a cool weather man, and even now after the sun has set, it's uncomfortably warm here. My AC wasn't running right a few weeks ago when it was in the 80's, and I had a fit until my wife and I had someone come and recharge the coolant. Stay cool.

@thebadgerpiper, refrigerant?, 103 in kcmo when I got off work, AC compressor has locked up in my car a month ago, so 70mph with all windows and sunroof open. Worked in a foundry from 93 to 2001, and it seems hotter now than then, but still can't convince me it is caused by climate change that the left is touting. Back when it was called global warming it was proved that some of the statistics or info that was used was falsified.

I'm noy in the mood for smoking when the outside air is hotter than what I'm breathing out. No cooling to it at all. Of course, I'm supposed to avoid extremes of temperature, but I can dress warm enough for frigid cold.

Not feelin' it in the heat.....
