In Memoriam

At the suggestion of @pylorns I purchased a new pipe in memory of my recently deceased father. A Nording freehand. Thought I'd set up this discussion for anyone feeling moved to do the same. I've decided to dedicate the pipe to English blends - my father's mother was an immigrant from Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Currently smoking my fave, Butera Pelican.

While I haven't purchased a pipe in memory of my father, I do have 4 pipes that he owned and smoked. I've restored one which I occasionally smoke with aromatics. The remaining three are yet to be restored, but will be. That's a great idea and a great pipe!

@Kmhartle Thanks. I credit @pylorns with the suggestion. I have several of my paternal grandfather's pipes as well. He beat the living dickens out of them. I feel like I need to leave them in that state as an homage to him! One of them seems to be nothing but cake...

Love the idea of having a dedicated pipe with which to reflect and honor your dad's life.
