I haven't been to Los Angeles in a number of years and the last time I visited, I wasn't a pipe and cigar smoker. I'm heading there a week from Thursday and was wondering if anyone has visited any of the cigar lounges and/or the few cigar bars in the area and can give me some recommendations? I"m staying in Culver City in the general vicinity of Marina Del Rey and would love some suggestions. I'm willing to drive a bit if need be. Thanks all!

@jim102864 not too familiar with anything near downtown/Hollywood but a few years ago I was working in LA and staying in El Segundo. I used to occasionally stop into The Tobacco Trader on Washington Blvd which is fairly close to Marina Del Rey. They had a decent selection of tins and a few bulk tobaccos on the counter. They also had a small, and not too fancy lounge in the back you could smoke in. This was in 2013-2014, so I don't know what they are like now.

Thanks all! I'm following up on your suggestions, assuming my trip doesn't get cancelled by the Lizard King (ie my boss). Looks like he's changed his mind and may not want me to go.

As high as their taxes are - and having such a strict non-smoking policy I can't imagine you'd find a good deal in any tobacco shop you might find.

@ghostsofpompeii This is true... it's difficult to find decently priced tobacco out here, let alone smoke haha.

I'm gonna check out Hollywood Smoke on Main Street in Santa Monica. Looks like they've got a nice lounge. There's a place called Buena Vista Cigar Club in Beverly Hills that is a cigar bar and has great reviews on Yelp. Might check that out for an after dinner drink and a smoke.
