Yard Blends

I like to smoke a cob to keep the bugs away when gardening or doing light work in the yard. However, I cannot truly enjoy the smoke and if I am on my tractor the bowl gets burnt up right away from so much movement. I usually smoke Prince Albert or Captain Black so I don't feel like I am wasting a tobacco that I really enjoy. What about you guys, what do you smoke in the yard?

I usually smoke a non-aromatic. I still have two containers of Walnut and that is my usual "yard work" tobacco in a cob.

Carter Hall, Prince Albert or Half & Half but I find virginia/latakia blends does a better job of being an insect repellent. They also repel the wife so I can get the work done in peace.

Prince Albert is my first choice. It burns well and I don't need to pay a whole lot of attention to it.

Have more of a yard pipe than a yard blend. MM country gentleman works well with most over the counter blends.

If I'm going to be working and just puffing and not thinking about what I'm smoking I normally will go for an unflavored black Cav I have in my stash since I don't care for it at all, I find it to bland

I don't know about you guys but when I pushing a lawn mower up and down the yard I prefer not to smoke since I'm huffing and puffing. Might feel differently about it if I was sitting on a tractor, but since I have a large bumpy yard and a self-propelled lawn mower that doesn't know it's suppose to be self-propelled - I'll save the pipe for after the work is done.

I use a push mower, so I don't smoke a pipe while mowing. If my tractor was running, then I'd probably smoke Prince Albert or Carter Hall in one of my cobs.

Lately my yard blend is one I call Gumbo. It's basically tobacco I've tried but don't like enough to smoker daily or hate enough to dump into the fire pit, so I put it in a quart size jar with the bits and pieces for almost empty tins.

@ghostsofpompeii -- Exactly: huffing and puffing...... and that was me this morning, running the "self propelled" snowblower. Got several inches of snow overnight here in northern NJ
