    As is often the case, many were "sold out" within hours of getting the email from P&C. I guess the early bird gets the worm! 

    On on a side note, I did break down and buy the P&C $19.99 build your own pipe combo recently. It's hard enough to find a beat around briar pipe for $20, and I'm pleasantly surprised with how well it smokes. The combo includes a pouch of a popular OTC blend, pipe cleaners and a pipe tool and it's not a bad deal at all.  

    I occasionally will buy a pouch of Captain Black at Walgreens. It's been so long since I have, I was shocked that they charge $11+ for it in Kansas! The pipe combo is definitely worth $20.

    Paid $18.00 for a 1.5 ounce of Captain Black in FLA. Never again will I.let my stash get down so low and end up paying what I paid.

    @buflosab If you continue to find yourself paying those type of prices at your local stores do yourself a massive favor and start ordering on line. Places like Pipes & Cigars sell pouches of Captain Black for $6.99 - meaning you could have bought about three for the price you paid for one. And if you buy in bulk for $2.90 an ounce for 4 to 7 ounces, and $2. 70 if you buy from 8 to 15 ounces you could be able to get almost 5 times the amount of tobacco that you're paying at a local retailer. The only time I'll ever buy Captain Black tobaccos at a drug store or tobacco outlet is if I have a $5.00 off coupon.
