@BigBadJohn - Your Aluminum pipe looks like an early Kirsten pipe made prior to 1950. It's not a Kirsten because all of theirs were marked and the mouth bit and the stem is different.

If you're interested though, send the photos to Kirsten in Seattle and they might be able to give you some more information about it.
