This Pipe Life Website & Forum Closure

Dear forum members,

After 7 great years of community engagement and discussion on ThisPipeLife.com (TPL) we have made the decision to close the website and thereby the forums as well. As many of you know, with STG’s acquisition of Mac Baren / Sutliff in 2024 we also acquired the website www.tobaccoreviews.com, (TR) here STG also supports a forum for hobby enthusiasts.

Ultimately, running two pipe tobacco forums simultaneously that offer similar features and opportunities for pipe tobacco discussions presents redundancies and splits the focus I would like to give these platforms. I had to make a difficult decision to close ThisPipeLife.com as a solution to this.

But fear not, the forums on tobaccoreviews.com are very active and are a welcoming bunch for other hobby enthusiasts and newcomers. I hope that many of you will migrate to the TR forums and keep the conversations lively as you have for so many years on the TPL forums.

The TPL website will be closed on October 1st, 2025.

A major thank you for keeping the forum buzzing on TPL through the years and I hope to see many of you on the TR forums.

I guess there are too many “old geezers” here, and not enough youngsters to “hook”.

Now I know why tobaccoreviews.com was/is all messed up. I have a heck of a time finding tobaccos on there now😖

I have made many good friends here at TPL. Although I can relunctantly understand the reasoning behind the closer, I'm saddened at the loss of friends made while here.
For those of you who have come to know me over the years, I will leave my phone # for you to text me if/when you've found a new forum home.
It will be interesting to see where we all wind up...

I figured i would get this in before the place shuts down. Thank you to all the members on here that have shared knowledge, advice and friendship over the past few years. I have always looked forward to logging in and seeing what is going on with everyone. To all of the members here, I will miss the privilege of hearing from all of you. Happy trails to all and I hope for the next week or so left we still get to chat some more.

Not that it matters now, but they can't even get the history right. I've been a member since 2016 which means TPL has been around longer than 7 years. I enjoyed occasionally engaging in the discussion and posting every now and again. Best to all.
