Not to mention the huge proportion of house fires that used to be started by something going wrong inside the old-style Analog TV sets.
I don't recall ever seeing a news account of a fire started by smoking a pipe in bed. Only a very few instances of it being a cigar, which seems reasonable. But cigarettes, with their inclusion of saltpeter (& maybe more modern oxidants?) in the ingredients to make sure that they don't go out when on the edge of the ash tray, a huge number.
Keep them cellars full! I'm even keeping blends I'm currently not too fond of in the event my cellar becomes depleted. I'll bet in the upcoming dark days of the tobacco apocalypse those much maligned cherry blends will suddenly be a damn fine smoke.
@motie2 Thanks for that. I'll have to post some of the Santa bagpiping pictures I've found on the facebook bagpipers group I'm in. And I love those vintage Santa and pipe pictures.
I'm a little late to this discussion, but I finally realized this was one of many of my bride's Christmas Decor items(She decorates every room in the house floor to ceiling). Several years ago I gave her this as a Christmas Gift.
I just revisited the bagpiping Santa picture. I wonder what a tobacco pipe shaped like a bagpipe would be like? Stick a tobacco bowl at the end of every pipe. Maybe have valves on each one so you can select your tobacco, or mix whichever ones you feel like mixing🤔
